Day of the Dead Nesting Boxes Set/2
- A Bethany Lowe Halloween design
Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is a Mexican holiday that brings families and friends together to pray and remember the loved ones who have passed away and to help support the spiritual journey. Sugar skulls are a common offering to the spirits during this holiday, and they are exactly what they sound like, skulls made of sugar that are decorated with intricate designs, usually of flowers and other filigree. These Day of the Dead Nesting Boxes are covered in mustachioed sugar skulls with designs on them and crepe rosettes in between that are orange, green, yellow and purple, traditional Dia de los Muertos colors.
The glittered black tops lift off, so you can use them as containers for treats or spooky Halloween displays, and the smaller one nests into the larger one for storage.
