Vintage Happy Halloween Pumpkin Lighted Display
A Christopher James design for Seasons Gone By, using vintage Beistle Halloween imagery. Christopher used the Beistle pumpkin image to anchor the display, which is illuminated with a light right in the middle to highlight the awesome witches, bats, and scaredy cats that are circling the pumpkin. Above the pumpkin’s head, feathery bats are flying around to ward off the ghouls coming to invade their happy gathering. A pumpkin and cat bucket sit beneath the pumpkin face, both smiling and filled with festooning. We love the fabric crow with his pumpkin head rider that finishes off the vignette! The vintage Beistle image of the pumpkin face is adhered to a plywood board on a form with an electric light illuminating the entire scene. This display piece would make a wonderful stand alone piece or it could be added to a display and become the focal point of a vignette. This is a fun Halloween display that would be great on its own, reminding everyone that Halloween is coming soon! It does have a flickering candle that glows eerily when plugged in.
